BUFFALO ADVENTURES - RULES

"Society speaks and all men listen, mountains speak and wise men listen" - John Muir

  • Your float on the Buffalo should be guided by common sense, good judgment and safety.
  • You'll receive a personal flotation device free of charge(PFD) Please wear it as it won't do you much good if you need it and it's strapped to the boat or you're sitting on it. IT IS ABSOLUTELY MANDATORY that children under the age of 13 wear it AT ALL TIMES. This is strictly enforced by National Park Service Rangers and Arkansas Game & Fish officers who have law enforcement authority and will use it. Avoid taking home a written souvenir of your visit.

  • DON'T LITTER. Your canoe will have a trash bag. If you might need two, please ask. Use it to keep Arkansas waterways clean and keep Arkansas beautiful.

  • No Glass of any kind ON or NEAR the river. ALL GLASS is prohibited whether it's a bottle of your favorite beverage, jar of pickles or even peanut butter and jelly. Again this is STRICTLY ENFORCED. Please help keep the river safe and free of glass.

  • If you use alcohol please do so carefully and in moderation both before and during your trip.

  • To ensure what you bring with you doesn't end up on the bottom of the river please MAKE SURE your cooler lid can be SECURELY FASTENED. This and USE a FLOATING HOLDER for any beverages is a state law.

  • Enjoy your float and please BE SAFE.
